Smart kids know: Aquariums are cool!
Students across the country have spoken, and they love their classroom aquariums. Announcing the deserving winners of the 2007-2008 Aquademics "Cash for College" essay contest. Chosen for skill, creativity and originality of their submissions, the ten student winners will receive a $1,000 U.S. Saving Bond to save for college.
They also get to share the fun! The teachers of the winning students each receive five Tetra aquarium kits for distribution to other classrooms throughout the winner's school.
Twenty-five runners-up also were recognized and will receive a Tetra aquarium kit.
To enter, students submitted a 75-word essay on the theme “I like my classroom aquarium because . . .” The Cash for College contest is open to all 4th and 5th graders in registered Aquademics classrooms.
